If God asked you to trust Him, would you?

The year was 1988 and a baby poo was born.

Kristyn Brianne Brown was a delight to her family. Such a cute baby who would soon go through life’s challenges in order to find a path suited for her. At the age of 10 her parents divorced which took a major toll on her self esteem, self respect and self love. Going through school she was always the odd ball and would get teased because of size and style. As she grew into her high school years, people gravitated towards her personality and loved having her around. But what people didn’t know behind her smile, jokes and laughter was sadness. She never felt pretty, never felt worthy, never felt good enough.

Upon graduating from the University of Arkansas - Pine Bluff she realized that her happiness wasn’t fulfilled. She found herself in relationship after relationship (both male and female) still holding emptiness. Trying to figure out a path that was for her, she enrolled herself in to The Los Angeles Film School thinking her life would be fulfilled. In turn her life crumbled until one day God spoke out and asked “do you trust me?” Being the person she is, Kristyn said yes without fully believing her words. God then spoke again and said “if you trust me, loc your hair”. Kristyn at the time was in between fades, Gumbys and afros and her style was long gone. She was unrecognizable. So she decided to step out on faith and loc her hair. The year was 2014 just 10 days shy of her 26th birthday when God gave her a vision for her future. This would begin the unknown journey of finding beauty within self.

Kristyn gave God her ashes and now realizes her worth and that she is loved. All it took was to trust in God and step out on faith. The journey we now call Loc’d Faith
